lilcheerleader While I am not a huge Pena fan, I am a fan of justice. They didn't catch him doing anything improperly and they should never have suspended him until they did.

Agree. That's also how I view the Drew Peterson case. How can you put a man away for murder with so little proof/evidence?

Horrible day for harness racing, but they all come back

If the glove don't fit, you must acquit. How can a guy who didn't get a positive receive 1700 positives based on someone else's record keeping?

He was banned there before this came down, so he won't be there or any of Gural's tracks.

I know that.  That's why I was laughing and that's why I won't play Gural's tracks.  Selective exclusion.  The easy to pick on guys are sent packing, while the hard core cheating big dogs are left untouched.  The sad thing is that many see this as the salvation of harness racing. Throw a few sacrificial lambs to the wolves and keep them happy.

Where does the bad publicity come from?

From a reputed rules violator being reinstated or from an incompetent hearing officer who is unable to do his job, as is so representative of the rule-makers in this business?

I think what he's saying is although everyone agrees that Drew Peterson is guilty, if you followed his trial, you couldn't have convicted him. I was actually shocked when he was found guilty based on the evidence or lack of evidence they had.
