Run And Tell Pap Rebounds With Win In Meadows Top Trot
« on: January 15, 2013, 08:30:50 PM »

WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 15, 2013 — Atoning for a costly break last week, Run And Tell Pap blew past his stablemate, Hava Kadabra, and went on to an in-hand victory in Tuesday’s $20,000 Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

Run And Tell Pap was rolling along on the lead in his Jan. 8 contest when an unforced break took him out of the money. Tuesday, the 6-year-old High Falls-Adele’s Jade gelding returned to form for Brett Miller when he moved first over from third, gobbled up Hava Kadabra and scored in 1:53.4. TSM Photo Bugger shot the Lightning Lane for second, 4 lengths back, while the pocket-sitting Fox Valley Smarty was third.

Ron Burke trains Run And Tell Pap, who extended his career bankroll to $312,561, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and M1 Stable.

Aaron Merriman drove three winners on the 15-race card.

Run And Tell Pap was a tough rascal when he raced here in IL. Nice trotter. He'd have a ton of money on his card if he'd have been racing for real money somewhere else. Congrats to all the connections! thumbsup
