The Republican party has settled for being democrat-lite. Tea Party first for me because they have proved their message can win. Second would be Libertarian but they get NO votes.

The conservative message is a winner (two Ronald Reagan landslides) but today's Republicans have no nads. STAND FOR SOMETHING AND WIN! aghhh...

I will probably continue to vote libertarian for quite some time. The Republicans just don't get it. Stay out of our lives-just be conservative fiscally.

Of course most of today's Dems are just socialists or commies in disguise. I agree with the Dems on many social issues, but just get out of our lives and reduce government interference in capitalistic matters.

This maneuvering for the seat once held by Jess Jackass jr. has become a circus in good old Crook County. 
Now there is a potential candidate on the dem. side, a state senator who has been arrested and charged with attempting to carry a handgun on to a plane at Ohare ? Claims he was working as a security guard the night before and the gun just happened to be in the jacket he was wearing during his "moonlighting" effort.
A state senator?? Moonlighting ?? As a security guard ??---------------Only in Chicago !!!
Don't see why they would charge him with anything since it's a "social" complaint and he is, after all, a Chicago democrap.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if State Senator Donnie Trotter is indeed on someone's payroll for a security job that he doesn't do. (which makes him him eligible for a gun carry permit) But, it's still a federal crime to carry a gun onto an airplane. Of course, since it's Chicago, he was charged with a local crime instead of a federal. We all know the chances of him being found guilty in a bench trial by a Democrat appointed judge in Crook county.

ps His address on the carry permit is Springfield. Nearly 5 hours from Chicago. It never changes...

Came out today that Trotter was paid $350,000 as a security guard. That's good money for a job that usually pays $12/hour. Surprisingly, he engineered a deal for them to get a big contract. Also came out that Chicago mayor Rahm Emmanuel(former Obama Chief of Staff) signed a contract for $99 million for janitor services at Ohare airport. They must be damn good janitors.
