Maybe soon ALL of Ohio will be like this
« on: October 29, 2012, 02:13:41 PM »
Today at Indiana Downs

                          Purse            Contribution from Standardbred Fund
Race 1                $12,000                      $10,000

Race 2                $40,000                      $40,000

* Almost worth being a track owner when purse money is covered in some of the races.....

Perhaps some day the sun will shine even if for a little while on Ohio......

Will someone please update me on the status of casinos in OH.  Do you need to put on live racing in order to have casinos?  While I was there someone told me about a Columbus Casino.  No racetrack there, right?

Florida is will eventually face a very difficult legislative ruling that I believe has the potential to destroy the industry as soon as their agreement expires.

There are 4 Casinos in Ohio thanks to Lebron James and race tracks can have slots only.

So what's in Columbus?  And you really need to stop thanking Lebron - I'm sure there are more tickets available for Cavs games!

I don't think the current Cavs owner, Dan Gilbert would have bought the Cavs if not for Lebron.

The current Cavs owner, Dan Gilbert, was one of the leaders in pushing the casino bill and owns part if not all of the casino in Cleveland.

A guy from Detroit with no ties to Ohio may not have been able to get the casinos passed or even attempted to start casinos here.

Therefore you can thank Lebron for the casinos in Ohio.

I've known the cute little Jew since he was a 3-year-old punk hanging out at our annual Turkey Bowl games (went yo HS with his uncles). If he was running unopposed, I still could not vote for him...and I really wanted to. He is bad news. If you have the chance to shake hands with him, make sure to count your fingers afterwards. thumbsdown
