Running Aces time
« on: July 28, 2012, 06:12:32 AM »
On my way to Running Aces to spend 4 days with my horses!  Hopefully get to see a win while up there.  The atmosphere looks like fun on the simulcast so looking forward to it!  4 days of playing poker won't be too shabby either!   :)

That's a nice trip to a very nice facility, Mr. B.   Have fun and make some cash.....if you see Peter Galassi tell my old friend I said hello.   Very friendly place, Running Aces!

Thanks. Pretty dominant,  thought. Joey really seems to get along with this one. Cashed enough of a wager to buy a win photo. ;D

The White Sox are starting to like Minnesota too.  They couldn't beat the Bad News Bears when the Twins played in the Helldome, but it's a different game outdoors.

Giss, if you get the chance you should check out Canterbury Park.  It's a bit of a drive in the opposite direction but a very nice track.  Made several trips and cashed a few bets there years ago when they raced harness for the one and only season back in 1986.

They do have without a doubt one of the finest director's of racing since the late Joe DeFrank.

I had a great time at Running Aces, they have a good thing going on up there.  Great facility, beautiful race track, enthusiastic crowds.  Looks like the product is growing as they have had a better parimutual year as they try to grow their simulcasting.  Now if we could just get them to extend through September, instead of ending at Labor Day, it would be perfect!  I can tell you one thing, I am definitely bringing more than 2 horses up there next year!   ;D

Great to hear. Glad you enjoyed it. I'll have to make the drive over and visit that place, it's just one state over from me.
