The President Of PeaceTrump! Trump! Trump!
I had a great time at Running Aces, they have a good thing going on up there. Great facility, beautiful race track, enthusiastic crowds. Looks like the product is growing as they have had a better parimutual year as they try to grow their simulcasting. Now if we could just get them to extend through September, instead of ending at Labor Day, it would be perfect! I can tell you one thing, I am definitely bringing more than 2 horses up there next year!
I bought a pacing filly once when I was young and knew everything. She was ruled off the tracks in Chicago because she was dangerous. Since I was bullett-proof at that age, I raced her at the county fairs and won 4 of her 1st 5 starts for me. Then one day at The Effingham County Fair she was gapping off the horse on the lead so I tapped her with the whip. She whirled, almost dumping my ass out of the bike and charged back into the field of horses in the wrong direction. Luckily we only bounced off of 1 other horse with no damage. I found her a home, because I didn't want anyone else to get hurt by the nutty beeyotch. It's funny; you know everything. Then you realize one day that you don't know squat, then you start learning. I guess that's what's called growing up.
