Meadowlands Saturday Med Pace Elims!

Have played the Meds less this year than any I can remember.  But, haven't done bad when I have.  Looking for some magic tonight.

Race 1  Sort of a toss up race . I'll go with 5-6-10.  But, you could pick 3 others and make a case for them
RAce 2  #4 Possess The Will-could slam dunk these-but race is onlya tune-up for bigger things  #2Money On My Mind- benefits if top one loafs.

RAce 3 Will try 1-3-7 in an awfull race.

Race 4  2-3-4

 Race 5  Sweet Lou should take these.  I see the 1 entry and #5 as upsetters should he falter

Race 6  #4 Mel Mara- likeGB on him #3 Thinking Out Loud- hard to fault  #5 Time To Roll- another having stellar campaign

Race 7  1-3-6

Race 8  5-8-9

Race 9  1-2-10
Race 10 2-5-6
Race 13  #1 Remissionofsins--saver of the night.

First, I don't think you will get 4/5.  I'd guess he'll be 2/5.  Secomd, the tougher horses are in the other division.  That makes his task tonight easier, I'm sure he'll be trying to win so he can pick his post for the final. He'll need that in the final to have a good chance.  Finally, there is just a shred of doubt in my mind.  He has been rested since the NA cup, but I don't like that fast training mile.
Of course, who am I to question the top trainer in the country?  Answer, nobody.  But, I'm not really sure they intended for him to go that fast.  It wouldn't surprise me if he crushes this field.  But, it wouldn't shock me if he got nipped.

This is looking like a great race next week. Sweet Lou was obviously not on top of his game, yet hung on to win in 1:49.1, pacing home in 26.4.

Heston Blue Chip won the second division in 1:49 with a fairly easy trip.

Assuming Ronnie gets Sweet Lou tuned up for next week, A Rocknroll Dance and Sweet Lou exacta box should do it next week.

Sweet Lou looked to be all in at the end of the mile IMO. I thought that A Rocknroll Dance was going to beat him easily if he could have found any racing room. I thought A Rocknroll Dance raced large, I consider him the one to beat after watching that race. Lou raced well himself, but he seemed pretty flat at the end.

Not very impressed with MacDonald's drive on Bolt the Duer. Sat in than ran his horse up the back of Tetrick, where there wasn't a hole to drive through. Horse was loaded, maybe MacDonald couldn't hold him. I'll throw a couple of dollars on him next week as he may upset the apple cart if things set up right and he can get a good drive.

Bolt The Duer is one hell of a nice horse, but I think he is out of his league with this bunch.

Listening to Dave Palone's interview, he said the colt was not himself tonight. A Rocknroll Dance was indeed loaded for bear, but he had a two hole trip on a night the front end is not really holding up.
