Diamond Hal

hal,
Don't have any articles specifically titled "Diamond Hal".
There may be a summary devoted to same, however I've to many references to his name to locate it.

Here's an Allen Brewer Drawing of Diamond Hal. I've a couple of dozen pics of Hal, however nothing of Cameo or real nice quality.

The following excerpt from the Dec 12, 1956 Harness Horse and the S. A. Camp Stable article:

Diamond Hal took a back seat in the headlines to his more illustrious stable-mate (Scott Frost) during the 1956 campaign, but when the returns were in for the year his bankroll of $86,179 had topped that of Scott Frost. This total moved the five-year-old Hal Dale stallion into fourth place on the all-time pacing list with over $222,000. Scott Frost incidentally is in third place on the trotting list and will no doubt be on top before the 1957 season is complete, barring the unforeseen. Mr. Camp also has the pleasure of being the only individual owner with four $100,000 winners, two at each gait.

Diamond Hal has been one of the most consistent winners in the tough pacing ranks for two seasons, and this year proved no exception. His first victories of the year came at Wolverine Raceway where he won a pair of $5,000 events. He also scored in a $7,500 FFA at Roosevelt Raceway, a pair of like value at Yonkers including his fastest mile of the year, 2:01. His largest wins also came at the raceways and included one of $10,000 at Sportsman's Park, the $25,000 National Pacing Derby at Westbury and the $29,250 Good Time Pace at Yonkers. In the latter pair he proved his ability to go the long route, winning the former in 2:334/5 for a mile and a quarter and the latter in 3:053/5 for the mile and a half distance. Diamond Hal also has the distinction of holding the Canadian pacing mark of 2:002/5, a feat accomplished in 1955.
