That comment didn't appear to be a win at all costs attitude.  But not everyone has comprehension skills like I do.

Not sure if his decision is "right or wrong" but I certainly applaud Gural's passion and courage to do what he thinks is right.  From a small-time owner's standpoint and lifetime bettor and fan - there is no doubt in my mind that Pena is cheating...  Brennan was in a no-win situation when asked to comment...

"Applaud Gural's passion and courage to do what he thinks is right" ....wtf....I think Mr. Gural has been watching too much of the Apprentice. HE too has to abide by the rules of harness racing. Passion and courage....ban a great little horse driver who gives his all night after night for the sport we all love so much and shake hands / make deals with a convict who was charged with attempted murder of his ex-wife. AND people wonder what the f**k is wrong with this world!!!!! I'd love to see this proposed device on Walter's bike so he can't free his feet during a race that sounds like a REAL good idea   4pezz2 can Brian Sears or someone please bring Mr. Gural to a barn someday and show him what a horse looks like and what's involved in OUR sport????????????????????????????????????????  slaphead

I certainly respect your (strong) opinion, but you quoted me without including the first half of my sentence "I am not sure if his decision was right or wrong"...  takes it out of context.

The passion you show for your other arguments are ironically similar to the same type of passion that Gural has for his.

Love him or hate him, without Gural there wouldn't be ANY racing at the Big M. I know nothing about the man, but he ponied up big bucks to keep harness racing there. I don't blame him for being "territorial", it's his money.

Brennan would have been alot smarter to keep on winning big stake races there and let  Pena and Gural fight their own battles. All Americans are guaranteed freedom of speech by the U.S. Constitution. But, we don't have the right to be listened to, nor do we have the right to to avoid consequences of our speech... ask the former Dixie Chicks.

I would agree there Pezz. It is very simple to say "I'm sorry Georgie, I was hasty. Please come race at the Big M."

I certainly hope that is how it goes.

I tend to think that may happen.   Mainly because the reaction to Gural's move has been more negative than anything else and he is a bottom-line sort of guy.

Especially after the race secretary said what he said........it is one thing to say "we no longer wish to do business with you"  it's another to give an actual reason.

I know George has a past.......but his past was just fine until last week.

Makes me sick to my stomach.........and that's a lot of stomach.

I wonder if they can make a device so Case can't raise a knife incase he can't control his arm(s) again? I bet Gural could patent it and make a load of cash   thumbsup
