I'll Have Another, the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner, went for a one-mile gallop in the rain Friday morning at Belmont Park, where he showed good energy. June 9 he will attempt to sweep the Triple Crown in the Belmont Stakes. Also, because of a NYRA stewards' rule, I'll Have Another will not be allowed to wear an equine nasal strip during the race. Will it affect his chances? Be sure to take part in DRF's Triple Crown Sweepstakes - and enter to win a VIP trip to the 2012 Belmont Stakes.

I don't think he wins the Triple Crown.
Anyone remember Smarty Jones.

Birdstone surges and Birdstone wins.... The Belmont Stakes.
I love that call. The disappointment in his voice is priceless.

Belmont announces major stakes probables

Other stakes for Belmont Stakes weekend are beginning to take shape, with the Grade 2, $200,000 Brooklyn Handicap headlining Friday's card. The Brooklyn is expected to serve as a Belmont Stakes tryout of sorts for jockey Mario Gutierrez, who is slated to ride Doug O'Neill trainee Boxeur de Rues in the 1 1/2-mile race. Last year's Brooklyn winner, Birdrun is likely to mount a title defense, and is expected to face Arthur's Tale, Balladry, Eldaafer, Eye On Jacob, Golden Gulch, Hailstone, Kentucky Reign, Not Abroad, Praetereo, and Redeemed.

Will be interesting to see how he does.
