How the heck did they harness and paddock Nevele Pride?I hate mean horses.......and I really hate stupid horses who think they are cool by being mean..........and oh yeah...........we know.......we know.......
Nevele Pride was vicious until the day he died. I read an article in HB that interviewed the farm mgr that stood him. His appraisal of NP was, "He don't smile much." He went on to say that that they could only "live cover" with him because he was too dangerous to get near to collect semen, and that was only on days he wanted to be caught. They used 2 10ft 'bull poles' with hooks to snag his halter and aim him to the breeding stocks, then turn him loose to got back out after breeding. He wasn't any better when I stabled near him his 3yo year.Didn't mean to derail your thread.
Nevele Pride inherited his charming disposition from his dam, Thankful, who was given the nickname "Little Evil" by those who had to deal with her. Harold Dancer trained Thankful. She was worse than her son.
She must have been an evil bitch, 'cause he's the worst I ever saw.
ya never heard of a cattle prod
I was wondering what ever happened to the lost phone conversation said to have taken place at Northfield
wtf are you talking about?
