Agree Gary. Paced a back half of 53.1 off equal 26.3 third and final quarters. It just shows how high FA has set the bar.
Thought it was a perfect race after racing tough in the Levy.

Pretty harsh saying Foiled Again "didn't fire". I don't think very many horses in the history of harness racing have paced in 1:48.2 in the month of May after being parked the entire mile from the outside, cover or not.

I'm not getting hung up on numbers.  Most on this board think he's the best, the fastest.  Rockincam raced 1st over to win.  When did Rockincam become such a monster?

I know I saw FA at 7-1 with a few minutes to post, finally closing at a huge (had he won) 4-1.  I doubt that he was trained as usual considering the difficult journey to the top he had in the Levy final.  Made sense to save something for the Graduate final where he will likely draw better.

Thought it was a perfect race after racing tough in the Levy.

That is the way I felt.  They couldn't have really been trying to win.  Board showed that.

Youcan expext to see a ton of spped in the race with AH and AM drawing 9 and 10   they aint sitting 9th and 10th. Perfet post for FA to sit and get 2nd over trip.

Of course you're saying that FA has to leave for position, which I agree with.  But pretty hard to predict "perfect trips" in these races.  If someone gets hung and backs up, whoever is behind him has to move too early.
