Very old Gary D recipe
« on: April 10, 2012, 03:36:02 PM »
It just came to me a while ago-an old recipe of mine that I had not eaten in many years. Let me digress. My stomach and intestines have been giving me fits most of the afternoon. I was hungry though, so what to eat? I already ate a bag of peanuts this morning, which is the likely cause of the upset innards.

Anyway I decided on some peanut butter/honey spread on wheat toast with garlic powder liberally sprinkled on top.

Now we are talking peanut butter toast to die for, laddies!  thumbsup thumbsup

I love peanut butter.  But, that combo not so much.  I'd make it on white bread toast with peanut butter and honey.  I know that wheat bread is trendy, but I'm not.  Maybe I'd top it off with raspberry jam or apple butter.  We have the making of a TV series here.  Peanut Butter Wars!

A pizza chain East of Chicago sells peanut butter and jelly pizza.  I usually eat it on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.

My brother owned an East Of Chicago pizza near Chapel Hill mall. He begged me to leave Las Vegas and come run his empire, but I love warm winters too much. He ended up selling about 12or 14 years ago.
