Yet another dream about horses this morning
« on: January 16, 2012, 07:44:41 AM »
I had yet another dream about horses this morning. I was working for Irvine and he was pissed at me for taking all day and night to get my work done. Then somehow McKirgan became my boss and would not shut up. (Very typical)

Finally they were having a horse sale at the fairgrounds were were training at. McKirgan sent me over to the sale area to do some work on a couple of horses we were selling, which turned into hours of work. Ryan showed up and said, "Dad, you are going to be mad, but McKirgan told me to jog your last horse, so I took her two miles by myself." (Ryan has never jogged one by himself)

I started laughing and wondered why I was supposed to be mad, then understood that this old mare had just come out of the field and had not been jogged for 3 years, and I woke up laughing.

It seems every time I dream about horses, I wake up feeling refreshed. dorkusinterruptus

That's funny! All my horse dreams have me being hopelessly late for making the race. Usually the night before I actually have to race.

I have one worse.(real-life, not a dream) I hauled one up to Blmpk and put him in the security barn. When it was time to warm him up I realized that I had left his harness bag laying on top of a tack trunk 120 miles south of there. I ran all over the grounds bumming equipment... a piece here, a piece there. When I warmed him up the hopples were too short, and burned the hell out of him. I let them out about 5 holes or more, until they looked pretty close. The little fart went out and won for fun. Afterward I said, "I should forget his harness more often!"
