Here is a kid that has really apparently turned the corner. he had multiple suspensions for whipping violations (one of which I agreed with Tim Schmitz for). I thought the kid would never learn how not to beat a horse to with the whip.

He is really driving very good lately at Northfield, and I have not seen him hardly hit one at all. I give him a lot of credit and even of some credit, albeit begrudgingly to Tim Schmitz. I think this kid will really do well if he keeps on the way he is driving. Also a very good value play at Northfield.

I do think he has some talent.  If we don't want whips to be used take them away.  That is my new stance.  Have been watching racing from Sweden a lot of late.  They have 17 horse fields . Small tracks and no whips.  Seem to do just fine.

I laughed my ass off when the owner of a race mare whipped his ass in the paddock draw gate at Hoosier for bringing her her back with blood gushing out of her stifle from repeated slashings. I'd have beat on him for a week and just paid one fine.

Nothing pisses me off more than a cut stifle. I worked for one guy who did it to a horse he owned and I told him what a f-ing idiot he was when he pulled up to the paddock and I saw the blood. He told me to mind my own business.

I told him the next morning he was a f-ing asshole again, and that the horse had to be bleeding or he would not stop like he did. He said, "If you are so smart, go get him scoped." I said if he didn't have blood in his throat I would pay for it…I did not have to pay for it.

The next week, BINGO, jiggy jogged on lasix and paid $9.60.

Beating a horse does no good for anyone. To me it is a crime.

I give credit where credit is due. I have little respect for the man but he did the right thing in this case.

He was just luckey he picked the right kid.  Every blind  dog finds a bone once in awhile.  I wouldn't give that man credit for breathing.

Sutton tries hard in every race    He doesn't take any crap from anybody, when I have my money down on him, atleast I know im getting my money's worth which you cant say about everybody else...

With all the whip nuts at Northfield slashing and cutting for a $1600 purse, how can you single out Sutton?  Take all the whips away. End of problem.
