my son is upstairs and he would prefer his own living space back downstairs and offered a $5,000 contribution towards the $45,000 it will cost to rebuild

Bar Mitzvah money!  birdienana

If I remember correctly, insurance paid us a little over 50k after the deductible on Wilma.  No flood damage - all wind - roof, pool enclosure, garage doors...

I believe Flood Insurance is FEMA backed so they're negotiating your settlement in Congress - whoops, put that project on hold, they just took a long weekend.

Obama says you make too much money to collect but since you live in a "blue" state he's gonna send you a check.  Just needs to get rid of that debt ceiling already.  Ridiculous to think his credit card is maxed out & someone else gets to decide if his limit increases.  I mean, is he the King & Ruler of the planet or not?  idunno
