While I would rather not do this, I will grudgingly manage the team next season. I aj only for a two year contract for $500,000 per year, all my meals free, medical, dental, and eyeglasses free, and a decent place to stay in Hudson for the two years. I also want $250,000 each year the team appears in the playoffs, and a $1 million bonus if they win the World Series.

If I do worse than the current manager, I will leave after the two years very happily. If I do worse than 10 losses in a row, my contract can be bought out for $250,000 at any time.

 

   Now THAT's funny, Gary!   I think the Tribe's chances would be vastly improved if BOB UECKER was either managing or at least announcing the games.......

Dale, I really like Acta as manager, but I don't think I could do any worse. It really would be a novel thing for an idiot like myself to get to manage a team. Of course I would consult with the Pope, as he is a baseball genius, but for the most part-could I do any worse? I just want to save the team money so they can get some better "stars".
