Here's my take on the Darby:

Great Ride by Gutierrez to save ground from the 19 hole. I'll Have Another should be favored to win the Preakness with another ride like that, IMO.

Not sure how I feel about Bodemeister. On one hand, there's no reason to stop a horse after a great start that Bode had. On the other, the fractions were ridiculous. I'm still torn on the ride, but it was a hell of a performance by him. I hope they rest Bode for races this fall.

Union Rags - Shocker that Leparoux got him in trouble. rflmao1 That is what worried me about Rags before the race.

Gemologist - Absolutely no friggin excuse. Was 5th early on and just stopped. What a rat.

Went the Day Well - Excellent close in the last 1/4, probably suited well for Belmont and the Turf.

Daddy Nose Best - What can I say? Another year, another Darby loser for me  rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1 Daddy Nose Best had a little trouble early, but he was never going to make a difference, even with a clean trip.

Two things I got right was Peppy Lepew is a BAD FIT for Union Rags and like I said before Baffert said he was going to the front with Bode. Everyone said he'd rate. All in all I made money for the two days. Would you believe it that Thistledown made me the most money. I hit the late double fri. that paid almost 200.00

lilcheerleader I came home from the track with 15mins to the Derby.  Kids said well what did you bet?  I told 'em I didn't.  Just don't have time to pay much attention to the thorobreds.  got a barn full of horses racing. We watch the race and inbetween the comments from the kids about the race as to who was going to win and "here comes Borel" ,  I said the horse in the middle pickin up horses on the backside will win if he doesn't run out of track.  Kids & husband proceeded to bash my comments.  so horse wins.  cameras go to Trainer  Doug Oneil and ect.  and the light bulb comes on.  Hey I think I made one future bet back in Jan. or whatever.  so I pulled up my account and there were my little $4 bets on 6 horses.  I said what number was "I'll have Another"?  Kids said 19 .  LOL    $122 for my $4 bucks!!  Always better to  be luckey than good.  rflmao1

Twinspires Players Pool was given $100K to play on Darby Day.

Their return: $0.00 thumbsdown

They got another $50K for The Preakness.  4pezz2

Please post their return if you can. I always used to put in a small amount just to play along but haven't donated in a while.

Looks like a return of about $25K today based on my estimates. A lot better than the Darby, but still a loss.

From the Players Pool:

"The Players` Pool had 15 winning $0.50 Pick 5 tickets today. Each winning $0.50 Pick 5 ticket returned $1485.05 (for a Pick 5 gross/net return total of: $22,275.75). The Pool also had 3 $1.00 Super Hi-5 winning tickets. Each $1 Super Hi-5 ticket returned $1,833.80 (for a Super Hi-5 gross/net return of $5,501.40). So if you gave them $50 you now have $27.77 BEFORE taxes  4pezz2
