Del Mar: O'Neill claims Fake News. No, really, he did

Fake News, a colt by Shanghai Bobby, was claimed for $40,000 in a two-way shake by trainer Doug O'Neill from Carla Gaines from Wednesday's fifth race.
Fake News finished fifth after racing near the lead in the race for maidens at 5 1-2 furlongs.
Fake News has made three starts - finishing ninth in a maiden special weight race for California-breds on July 4, and third in a $50,000 claimer for California-bred maidens on July 27. Wednesday's race was against open company.
The colt was previously owned by his breeder, Santa Anita chairman Keith Brackpool.
