This is the first time I ever heard of one getting away from Northfields sand going out onto the road. Glad he was caught and unharmed.

Was--  I saw a horse Des O'donohoe had get loose one morning at Maywood on the track. He did like 5 laps full-tilt,then wheeled and did another  6 laps until he was finally caught. Finished 2nd the next nite at 30-1. 4pezz2

Desmond O'donohoe....now there is a blast from the past! Nice man and a very good horseman too. I forget his son's name, but I think he and I drank some Pabst Blue Ribbon one night. Maybe two.
