Drivers looking at Tote Board

You've all seen it... The driver who looks at the board as he's crossing the line in front ... Sometime it's obvious. Sometimes it's a glance ... The most obvious one I've ever seen was tonight at Cal Expo, race 8... Plano does an almost 180 to see the board. You can all watch the replay... What's the worst you ever saw at this?

I always did it to catch the race time. Nothing else is up there yet. Not until the race is official do the payoffs show, which is usually a few minutes.

Greg Grismore one time just stopped and stared for around 10 seconds.

I don't think anything of it though.

They like to look before the race more than after Ive found.

It does not bother me.

When I goto the Meadowlands with my buddy he puts 100 or 200 on his horse regardless. So it will open up low so the driver will look over at the board and think hey I am live here.

Sometimes the guys heads fall off trying to look back at Rosecroft and we chuckle.

Maybe Griz was looking for some of those whips he tossed into the infield?

And he certainly wasn't driving Bettor's horse. Dan Charlino drives that one.  Bettor won't let Griz drive him-said the horse is too good for Griz.
