What is your favorite food?
« on: August 06, 2013, 08:08:27 AM »
I have probably eaten more strawberries and blueberries than 90% of all people who are still here on Earth. My love of these two started at a very young age, when I killed every bird that tried eating our strawberries. I then went on to pick them for 10 cents a quart and all I could eat. Now I love the combination even more- I just can't get enough of this combination in the summertime.

Right now my favorite food is a toss up between strawberries and blueberries and Coccia House pizza. I am leaning toward strawberries edging out Coccia House pizza as my favorite food.

Damn these sombitches are good!!!!!

Fried chicken!!!! Nothing else come close. My better half made me a blueberry-blackberry tart a week ago.  Always used to go pick our own strawberries and blueberries.  Now usually get them at the farmer's market.

I would have to agree with Dave:  a medium rare ribeye steak from Ruth's Chris.

Medium rare St. Elmo's filet preceded by one of their awesome shrimp cocktails with a nice semi dry mid priced glass of red wine.

Or the store made cracklings and boudin that you can get only at Don's Country Market in Lafayette, LA, do not accept imitations even though I make a pretty mean boudin myself....not to mention the crawfish etouffee at Prejean's also in Lafayette.

It constantly changes.

Mint Moose Tracks ice cream may be one of my favorite foods but when it gets really hot out I can't stand ice cream.

After a run of 10 or so miles the only thing I want is fountain pop.

It is really hard to beat a cheeseburger cooked on a charcoal grill... but sometimes I would rather have chicken noodle soup or pizza.  I prefer the soup before race days.

I probably had about 50 steakums during tax season because it was quick and easy to make between clients.

I too love burgers on the grill with one exception: I have the World's best son in law who can absolutely ruin grilled burgers. I think he's afraid of food poisoning, so he cooks them until they are like dried hockey pucks. Not enough condiments in the world to make them edible.
