Election Day

[Just Saying]

I voted this AM and the action was brisk for this little town;I hope that is a good sign. One big difference was they usually have to shake every bush to get a Democrat poll judge here. Today there were 5, and they were very picky. I signed my name using my 1st two initials and my last name like I do on everything. WELL, little miss Birkenstocks looked me up on the voter rolls and saw that I'd signed my voter card decades ago using my full name, and questioned my elegibility. (yet they don't want voter ID... go figger)

The lone Republican judge intervened and informed her that I had lived here nearly 30 years and never missed a vote. I started to say, "If you're going to be pissy I'll just sign the sombitch again!" She gave me the ballot and I voted against the ass she was trying to help. If I had been denied my ballot she would have needed a Sheriff in short order.

There's no chance of Obambi losing in IL, but they are really worried. I hope they were worried for good reason. Get out and vote, good warriors have given their lives to protect that right.

Funny you said that. When I visited my Amish friend in Ohio last month, he told me that in Holmes county, Ohio, there were not enough Democrats to get people to work the polling areas. They had to import some Dems from surrounding counties. Too bad Cuyahoga county (Cleveland) and Franklin county (Columbus) don't have the same problem.

Over the ballot questions. Have Gay marriage, the dream act and expanded gambling.

Going to be an interesting evening.

Voted at about 11:30 am here in Danville, KY and the turnout was much heavier than I normally see at our polling place. Two comments overheard were " I'm a dyed in the wool democrat but I can't vote for an empty suit" and "This man is destroying the country, I voted for a republican for the first time in my life" !!!
Rural Kentucky reporting heavy voting patterns and maybe that will overcome the brain dead in Lexington and Lulaville.

I voted for our Democrat County States Atty. I know her and hubby, she ran as a dem, but she's pretty conservative. The bulk of the voting in the county is from the (liberal) Big 10 university, so she flys in under  the radar and gets elected. She laughs about how the libs want her to turn all the criminals loose, and it pisses them off when she won't.
