First off some bad rides kept me from showing a larger profit on Friday.My combo of bad capping and betting made for a terrible Sat for me.
I did find some comfort in some other people's pain and pleasure from this weekend.It was not as bad as Pletcher's ofer 16 at CD in 06 but Baffert's ofer 8 was huge with all the hype he gets.
I guess that jock change on Game On Dude is not looking so good right about now.Baffert threw the cuurent jock under the bus after the Classic in a post race interview on NBC.
If the day ever comes when Pletcher wins major stakes for older horses regularly than I will give kudos.Until then he simply has the most bullets to fire in the Juvy races.
It cannot be a good day for racing when Mullins and O'Neill both win on racing's biggest day.
Unless Joe O'Brien is on the best horse period he is lucky to be riding for his dad Aidan.
Kudos to Groupie Doll and Wise Dan both continue to shine no matter the track.
They went a 1 1/2 miles on the turf yesterday in about 2:23.This would beat Secretariat's time in the Belmont.The time would rank as maybe the fastest time on turf at the distance I have ever seen.Hard to believe Little Mike is the best turf I have seen.
I did not read of any 2 yos who suffered with the lasix ban that started this year.Hopefully next year will be the same when all must go without lasix.
