They were five across leaving. McNair looped Razzle Dazzle (JC) and Foiled and got to the top coming out of the first turn. Campbell and Gingras were stuck outside for the entire mile. The opening quarter went in 26.3 but McNair got a 29 second break in the second quarter. Approaching the last turn Campbell took it hard to Aracache with Razzle Dazzle, heading him on the turn. Gingras just followed along second over until the top of the stretch when he swung wide and narrowly defeated stablemate Clear Vision. Razzle Dazzle, who went a very brave mile was third. Atochia finished fourth.

Foiled Again was parked every step of mile.
Still won. On half-mile track. Against best horses in world. Case closed.

Anyone who thinks you can't have great races on a 1/2 mile track needs to watch this one.

Foiled Again needed every bit of a perfect trip to reward his even money backers who somehow had enough cash & confidence left after the elimination heats.

A very fine, exciting race with many solid pacers.

May be best horse ever

You could say "he was a stud" except 4 the ball-cutting-off -thing. Why aren't these animal-rights people pissed off about that? Maybe, they don't want to be slayed by a crazy huge deer.

Parked, yes but covered up by a very strong 1st over.  Doubt he went a step further than the horse he nosed out.

Good horse, undoubtedly.  A big money maker, absolutely.  Great for these groups, that may be stretching it.  "Best ever", not in anyone's wettest of dreams!

I am not going to say he is the best ever but for any horse, currently racing or not to be considered the best, they have to be the best on a half. I think trainers who refuse to race on a half are not even real trainers. Real trainers cab get them around a half. Anyone can get them rigged on a big track.

To do what FA has done over the years over different tracks is amazing.
He is one of the all time great pacers.

I agree with all the detractors. FA should be junked and sent to my stable. (from my lips to God's ear)

I'd love to have a "junker" like him, just once in my life.

A few years ago Won the West went a second over parked out mile and it was called a brutal trip. Now all of a sudden a second over parked out the mile is a perfect trip?
