Chitown NATO Protests

Any of you Windy City guys having to deal with the idiots protesting NATO & G8?

What a pain in the a$$! They're protesting Boeing, but they flew in on Boeing jets, etc,etc,etc. Spoiled little rich kids, still living in Mommy's basement. Everything was reasonably peacefull until yesterday when "Anarchists" started throwing bags of urine and other bodily fluids at the cops, then a cop got stabbed in the leg. "Chicago's Finest" then proceeded rearrange a little anatomy on some and arrest them. Things got pretty civil shortly after that.

Ever notice how hard working taxpayers never have time to protest? Only the idiots.

I spent a lot of time the last several days working to facilitate the Nato delegates visit to our fair city.  I got to talk with some of them and did discuss the protestors with them.  We got a chuckle out of the goofs who poured fake petroleum on themselves and were protesting outside the Canadian consulate.  Of course they took a bus to get here from California!!  When the protestors marched through Bridgeport, the toughest job for the police was protecting the protestors from the residents!!  Lot of the protest organizers are professional protestors.  Like I heard one guy on the radio say "They would protest Mother Teresa"

When I was at the airport, security was tight. Bomb sniffing dogs would  make their rounds every 30-60 minutes.  Security was provided by Airport Police, U.S. Customs police, the FBI and the Secret Service.  There were many DOT workers on hand also.   I did not see any protestors. 
My duagther works in the Prudential  complex and of course, protestors were there.  Obama's re-election Headquarters is located in the building she works in.  Security was tight there and she reports the place was like a ghost town today.
