The New York Sire Stakes roll into Tioga Downs on Friday night featuring three divisions for 3-year old colt and gelding trotters. Headlining the entries on Friday night is Royal Shyster, who was purchased for $450,000 at the Harrisburg Sale in November by William Weaver III and Jim Winske for trainer Noel Daley. He will make the second start of his sophomore campaign in the third and final NYSS event for $44,266 in race number nine. George Brennan will make the trip to Nichols , New York to drive the colt, who is listed as the 3-1 morning line favorite.
In the second division (race 6) Jim Morrill Jr. will handle Archangel for trainer and co-owner Peter Arrigenna. The 3-year old son of Credit Winner finished second in last year
