I would like to congratulate the Cleveland Plain Dealer for removing Tony Grossi as the Browns' beat reporter and reassigning him, this after most of his lifetime as the Browns beat reporter. After all, he is only the best writer in Cleveland.
Grossi's sin? He referred to Browns owner Al Lerner in a twitter tweet that said,
-
Al Lerner is dead, was he referring to Randy?
The need to get rid of bud shaw instead
-
I mistakenly wrote Al. Sorry to the late Mr. Lerner and Tony Grossi for my error.

He's lucky he still has a job. Ohio is an at-will state. The Guild is very powerful. Very unprofessional Twitter stunt he pulled, even if inadvertent.
Good article explaining the reasoning and the process- http://www.cleveland.com/readers/index.ssf/2012/01/tony_grossis_reassignment_was.html

When the wife of a member of the house and then the Senate has written in the paper for years, even if it was the editorial section, no one believes in the objectivity of the newspaper.
When a newspaper endorses individuals or issues in an election, no one believes in the objectivity of the newspaper.
The Browns have been lousy since the return, there have been more coaching changes, qb changes and other front office changes than probably any other team since their return in 1999, its hard to have a positive opinion on the owner.
