"Luck" on HBO starts Sunday night at nine. I came across a review in a recent issue of The New Yorker, written by a woman who admitted she knew nothing about horse racing, and she considered the series to be a head-scratcher. Set that DVR now and support it. Below is a typical reaction to the series.
A Handy Guide to Understanding HBO

HBO Free Preview weekend on DirecTV, so I can at least watch this week.

Maybe Aileen Gallagher could take Wendy Ross's spot at M1.

Preview episode ran a couple months ago on HBO........Loved it. thumbsup Really looking forward to the series...............but I do need my Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire back.

Amy,
I last few episodes of Boardwalk were not impressive.
Last year I watched a series on Showtime, "The Borgias", which I thought was superb.

I watched The Borgias also..........you want a better watch? Catch up on Game of Thrones. I thought for sure I wasn't going to get into the "fantasy" aspect...........but, and I forgot to mention it earlier......AWESOME. thumbsup Peter Dinklage is a pro.
I still love Boardwalk immensely........just something about the period........BUT.........I just about puked when he shot Jimmy..........he was my favorite.........don't know how I'm going to handle it next season.
Over all........HBO has superb programming. thumbsup thumbsup
