Pope, Was he the very nice black man that always said how are you doing everytime he saw you ?
If thats the same guy he was without a doubt the nicest person you'd ever want to meet.

No Bob was white... I think you are thinking of Earl.(sportsman park) He hung out there and was a valet.

Yeah my old mind, but the guy I'm talking about also worked his way up also he was never a valet but I
think his name was Bill something, Race Track phil would know who I mean.
He was always in a suit. I grew up blocks from Maywood and worked at the tracks (all of them) and
I still can't remember 4pezz2 rflmao1 and come to think of it he must of passed a while ago.

redrose RIP. Bob was a really nice guy. He was in the race office at Maywood & Sportsman when I was a kid. He always had a good relationship with horsemen. He was retired by the time I got to racing up there. His successors could have learned a lot from him.
