40 and 50K claimers are now going for the same exact purse. there is only 1k difference in the 30K claimers and the rest are exactly the same. That is a 3-4K purse cut. The open was 38K now only 33, only 3K more than The Big M The NW races are only 2K more than the Big M and they were all cut 3K as well. The Lowest Purse On Sat Night at Yonk is 16K and the nw6000 race is the one with the 8500 purse at the Big M.
Not the huge gap it was last year

How about looking at the NEW CONDITION SHEET. The open now only goes for 33K
Only 3K more than the Meadowlands
All The Claiming classes are basically the same purse, no restrictions on winning at the Meadowlands.
That is why I said there was a HUGE purse cut.

you can't judge where you want to race your horse based on a few thousand dollars (once you get up to that level were a few thousand is only 10-15% difference)
have to worry about who you can get to drive and if your horse does better on a half mile track or mile as well as if it can go that extra 1/16 of a mile.

15 - 20% purse cut
also on the condition sheet is this item:
ALL RACES WILL BE 1 MILE UNLESS A DIFFERENT DISTANCE IS INDICATED
