I came here bitching on draft day because they traded down. I wanted Wadkins, so the Clowns took Gilbert (even though the knock on him was that he didn't like to tackle). Everyone here said he was a good cover    rflmao1 rflmao1 rflmao1. Only thing is that you have to cover your guy when your in a game and second, you do have to show up to team meetings and not show up late when you decide to show up. Now the JF thing, I think Haslem believed the junk JF told him. FOOLS GOLD. One other thing, if the NFL does the piss test on Gordon and it come back positive for alcohol, does he get banished?

I would probably let Johnny Football go tomorrow. I would then bring in Gordon and Glibert and tell them in no uncertain terms that they too will be let go if they screw up once more.

In my opinion, Johnny Football appears to have far less raw talent than Tim Tebow, and I would not want Tebow as my starting QB.

I may even let Gordon go too, just to prove a point to Gilbert. I truly think he has the talent-he just needs a fire lit under his ass. Johnny Football and Gordon just do not give a shit about the game.

I think they should dump Manziel as well. He's just a distraction to the team and his small sample size on the field isn't worth it.

They should have let Lombardi trade Josh Gordon to the 49ers for a 2nd round pick. Now they'll be lucky to get a late round pick for him even know when he isn't suspended he can be a top wr.

No need to get early draft picks when they waste them anyway.

I'm not a rabid Browns as my eldest daughter and hubby but when they drafted Johnny football I looked at my hubby and said  " What the hell.  he's a midget how's he gonna see over those bodies across from him?  and I also said he was a prima donna that will get his ass kicked with the big boys.  Of course my hubby totally agreed with me ;)

Josh Gordon f**ked himself good by getting suspended the last game without pay ... he needed 6 weeks of pay to become a unrestricted free agent at the end of the year , now he won't become a unrestricted free agent until after next year.

And his people are threatening to file a grievance. We'll see how that flies.

Anyone okay with trading Cutler for Johnny Football???

At this stage, the alcoholic might have more upside than the head case.

Cutler regressed this year and his body language in most games said it all.

His enormous talent has led to umpteen head coaches, offensive coordinators and QB coaches getting pink slips in the last 5-6 years. He's a Coach killer.

People here were happy Jimmy Clausen was starting over Cutler 2 weeks ago...the same Clausen who was 1-9 in his career with 3 tds and 9 ints in those starts.   4pezz2 4pezz2

No doubt about it.  He has the tools, can't make much with them.  Leadership skills?  Still looking for those.

He has had 3 head coaches in his 10 year career.

As bad as he can be, I would take him over 15 other qb's in the league. That is how bad the QB situation is in the NFl right now. No matter what people want to happen with him, he will be the bears starting qb for 1 more year. No one is going to take that contract.

Bears fans should be happy he killed the coaches he had there , if I'm a Bears fan I would be praying that they hire Rex Ryan

Shanahan couldn't win in Denver with Cutler so I don't know if it would be any different with the Bears.

Ryan might need a year to recuperate after his New York experience.

The Bears need someone with a track record and pulse like Bill Cowher or Jon Gruden.

Unfortunately with the Bears hierarchy in place, I'm worried it will scare off the best candidates. They should have fired the bean counter Prez but didn't because the franchise's value has skyrocketed during his tenure (bottom line always comes first).
And anyone taking the job knows they have to deal with Cutler for at least a year.

Stop with the Cowher or Gruden because there is 0% chance of that happening .
Cowher has said he has zero interest in ever coaching again and Gruden just signed a new deal with ESPN

Shannahan would mean more Cutler.  I don't care who is coaching him, he is a loser.
