Title: Balmoral 04/05/14
Post by: Mags on April 05, 2014, 08:11:19 AM
off a small loss we move on to this weeks card as my good friend "The Lumper" invades from the cheesehead state..hopefully Balmorals bar will be appropriately stocked   yeahbabydrinkingguy.

Race 1 - #1 Jersey Shore - been having trouble staying flat..if he does, he should handle these..using with 3,5,7
Race 2 -#7 Im A Dan Fool - brushed past in last and cover trip with pace to run at likely..using with1,3,5
Race 3 - #3 Lofty Native - impeded and 5 wide turning for home and flattened out late..short price but solid..using with 1,4,5
Race 4 - #3 FV Amanda - tons the class but 1st start of 2014 and salad tosser aboard makes for a scary"chalk" scenario..tepid selection on top..using with 2,5,7
Race 5 - #3 Jude Hall - has picked it up for this barn..using with 2,4,5
Race 6 - #1A Powerful Commander -heavy chalk again must stay flat..entrymate could share as welll..using with 2,5,6
Race 7 - #7 Ritascape - back from a nice effort at Hoosier..would love a 2 hole trip..using with 3,4,5
Race 8 -#3 Parked Onda Street - marked improvement on the move into Donna lees barn..in tougher but should help the price..using with 1,6,7
Race 9 - #3 Master Of Excuses - significant class relief and lead or 2 hole = $$$..using with 2,4,5
Race 10 - #8 Fort Silky - tough to beat Als Hammered but speed tightner then closing tightner says nows the time..should be blasting..using with 1,2,5
Race 11 - #1 Holy Chip - races better off pace and covered up..will need some racing room in stretch..tough race here..using with 2,4,6
Race 12 - #5 EZ Moving -big improvement in last..upswing ?..using with 3,4,6
Race 13 - #1 Whistle Pig - hey Casey its about time for an aggressive drive finally wouldnt you say..using with 4,6,7

Good luck all

Don't you think that per came back a little short ? I actually turned Balmoral on with no minutes to post and was rushing to get my bets in, I think that helped my ROI for the night much better because that was the only race I bet(I didn't start out stuck lol), I don't know how much ez moving would have changed my winnings but I'm guessing it would have been close either way, I had the 4 horse 1st and 2nd in the Pers and the super and bet him W&P.

Yeah Skipper, I do think it came back a little short after thinking about it..I guess I was too pissed that the 4 was posted as the winner as I really thought Wilfong got up to win it. I was standing with a buddy who's been going out there forever and he had the 4 going in the late pik 4 and he even threw his ticket down thinking #4 got caught. For such a close finish, it sure was a quick photo. Maybe I had a few too many to get a photo right, anyway it is what it is I guess..PS my buddy lost the pick 4 as Casey had a two hole trip and couldnt gain an inch

I have watched the replay 9 times & EZ wins it  every time. I had him across the board & did not have the 4
anywear so I only lost out on the win bet. 19-1 and Kyle Wilfong stalls him out 4 times in the stretch drive. Any
average driver win this race. Up the backside you can see he is loaded. Show him some race track and he wins
easy. Bad night for me, I really needed him to win that race. Good luck to all going forward.

I also see the #5 winning this race via the replay..would appreciate others views of the replay..obviously it wont change the results but a low payoff and a quick photo has me shaking my head..and no I dont believe in the Bermuda triangle and yes I do believe Illinois politicians are corrupt

Balmoral Race 12- your thoughts on the replay would be appreciated

I watched it several times, watching it in full speed it looks like the 5 won it but watching the slo mo replay 4 gets it by a whisker, when I saw the race live I couldn't tell to be honest, I knew it was very close  and could have gone either way.  idunno

Watching it live thought 5 got up. But once they show the wire shot 4 clearly held on. Tough beat if you had the 5.
