Bee A magician beat out Foiled Again and Captaintreacherous in Horse Of The Year voting. Click this for all the results. (http://xwebapp.ustrotting.com/absolutenm/templates/article.aspx?articleid=57848&zoneid=1)

Old Gary D called this one long ago. I really think she may be the best trotting filly ever!

You make it sound like you were the only one to say it. If she wasn't horse of the year, they never should of given out the award again

I certainly was not the only one to say it, but I said it before most people believed it. I think I am the only person to say she may be the best trotting filly in history though. Highly respected writer Dean Hoffman and I have argued several times on Facebook about BAM deserving the award.

As far as Captain beating out Foiled, I can understand that. He made more money in fewer starts than Foiled, and he only got beat three times all year. Of course he got his bridle handed to him when they raced heads up, but that was really a tough situation for Captain.

I am admittedly biased towards Foiled Again, but I understand that totally.

Yet Foiled again beat him in the voting for horse of the year. Yeah that makes a lot of sense.

Guess a lot of voters thought it went Bee A Magician, Captain and Foiled Again in that order.

I think more people will remember Foiled Again and the year he had over Captain and the year he had though.

A compelling case can be made for this "Big Three" - they all had marvelous seasons but for shear staying power, Foiled Again is quite a racing machine.

Bam deserved it!  Congrats to the connections.  But, the best filly trotter of all time?  There have been outstanding fillies who took on the boys and older horse and whipped their asses.  So, I'll reserve judgement on that.
The Cap and Foiled again , a coin flip.  Strong case can be made for both.
