Quinn needs to hear how unhappy we are. Yeah, I don't know that it will help, but it can't do any harm Right now we are screwed and tattooed.
We should colonize Wyoming with harness fans. Low taxes, people walk around armed, clean air, I for one am getting sick of the BS around here.

sent an e-mail 3 times stating multiple ways his thinking is wrong..told him theres plenty of Hoosier $ that would work their way into the illinois economy with slots at tracks..absolutely mind-boggling thinking by Govenor Goof

You are right, Gary, but if nothing else it may make Quinn and his Staff a bit uncomfortable and it makes the caller feel better after venting. Something good about that.

IMO I think you're 100% spot on ! If he said no Casino expansion period I think
it wouldn't bug me so much but in reality he just said "F" racing in IL. I also
don't understand why he waited so long to come up with this, perhaps he was
waiting for the highest bidder ? Republican, Democrat, Independent, left wing,
right wing they're all a bunch of thieving scoundrels once elected !

Dead in the water... Within 5 years only county far racing will exist.
I feel sorry for all the local horsemen who have been abused mentally and financially by both racetrack mgmt. and the "usual politics" of Ill.
These poor souls put money into the racetrack owners pockets while digging a hole that they will never get out of. Kudos to the trainers and drivers who could see this coming and moved.
I remember when there were NO casinos. Ill. government bent over backwards to help the racetracks. They wanted their cut. Times sure have changed!! As usual,FOLLOW THE MONEY !!!!!!

Same reason you & I both quit, Pope. The pols and track mgmt killed horse racing in IL. Damn shame...

If I was a horseman, I would haul a bunch of horse manure and drop it off right in front of the governor's mansion and tell him I have put up with so much of his crap its time he takes some from me.
