Hopefully things resolve. We have been heartbroken in the past in the breeding game but you gotta pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try again. We submitted our Mister Big application yesterday; if it is meant to be it will be!

Of her and this foal? Or the first one?
She is standing I read. And shes fighting.
There were complications from the first foal. Nothing like this though. So I would guess this is her last one.
Not that it matters now as I am just hoping she pulls throgh liek everyone else is.

The 2009 Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra continues to face her recovery from abdominal surgery as a result of foaling complications with the same courage and determination that made her a champion on the track, Stonestreet Farm reported Feb. 20.
The 7-year-old mare's attending veterinarians at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital near Lexington completed the course of post-surgery abdominal lavages Feb. 19, and the two drains placed in her abdomen were removed. Rachel Alexandra underwent emergency surgery Feb. 13 after delivering a healthy Bernardini filly one day before.
Dr. Brett Woodie and Dr. Bonnie Barr are pleased by the progress of the daughter of Medaglia d'Oro , which has included several short walks a day and an improved appetite this week.
As her diet becomes more normal, Dr. Woodie is encouraged that her gastro-intestinal function is improving, as well as her 'feisty' attitude.
"While the road towards recovery remains long with many hurdles to overcome, Stonestreet's Barbara Banke and Rachel's team at Rood & Riddle are both inspired by her strength and happy with her progress in the week following surgery," read the Stonestreet release.
Following the 'no news is good news' theme, Stonestreet Farm said the next official update on Rachel Alexandra's condition will be issued Saturday, Feb. 23, unless her condition changes.
