Title: Wagering Rises in 1st 1/2 of January
Post by: Dolfan on January 16, 2013, 02:09:26 PM
                               YTD 2013    YTD 2012            % Change
Total Wagered         $135,490          $111,453          +21.57%
Per Race avg.          $128,063          $113,961          +12.37%
Purses                       $15,050           $13,274           +13.38%
Race Days                         84                    75           +12.00%

The big number that stands out is Per Race Avg.

Any theories?

Hard to bet YR when 60% of the horses haven't raced in a month.

Well it was the same thing for the meadowlands when they re opened, and there numbers are thru the roof. Shit there are horses in tomorrow and Friday that haven't raced in a month, so what does that mean?

I'm surprised wagering is up. I just checked my account; I'm down 65% from the same time last year.  idunno

I've done a lot less betting this year as well, especially at the Meadowlands. My Yonkers betting looks just like last year though, $0.

I love stats and love that I can easily look this stuff up.

My Yonkers wagering for 2012:
0.82% of my wagering
87.5% win (think this means bets cashed)
+0.23 roi

You would think I would love the place  ;D
