WASHINGTON, PA, Jan. 14, 2013 — Looking like a beaten horse around the far turn, Do Me Honor found new life in the stretch and captured her second straight — and fourth in the last six — in Monday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Do Me Honor moved first over from fourth to close in on the leader, NY Yankees, who dug in and reclaimed the front. But Do Me Honor persevered for Aaron Merriman and downed NY Yankees by a neck in 1:53. Ladystar shot the Lightning Lane for show.
Bill Bercury trains and owns Do Me Honor, a 5-year-old daughter of Cheyenne Rei-Do Me Right who now boasts $244,588 in career earnings.
Dave Palone drove four winners — all for trainer Ron Burke — on the 15-race card while Merriman also fashioned a triple.

Aaron and Midge made us proud. We call Do Me Honor "Midge" because she is a midget in stature but a giant in performance.

Way to go Samstar! I love it when the truly good people get the thrill of the winner's circle & get to spend their winnings on pictures.
