Besides for having the biggest feet, The Skipper also has the biggest heart.
We traveled to The Pace together this summer on a very early morning flight out of O'Hare. We were standing in a long line at McDonald's to get coffee (they had just opened). Skipper looked near the back of the line that had formed and yelled "Hey you, come here" to a young kid dressed in military fatigues carrying a large duffel bag. The kid walked over to Skipper and politely said "Yes Sir". Skipper said "What are you having?" After the kid told him Skipper says "Go sit down, when we get your food we'll bring it to you". When we got our food we brought it over to the kid. When he offered money Skipper said "Your money is no good with me. It's the least I can do. Thank you for serving our country".
No big deal I know, but that's the type of person The Skipper is.

Thank you all for the kind words. Amy I just hope you all enjoyed it, I told you I hate wasting money on flowers and it only took a few clicks on the computer. I hope since I can't make her hip feel better it made Beans tummy a little happy, I know when I'm down a trip to Portillos or Jean & Judes always cheers me up.

The Skipper came to watch me race some horses at a county fair.(and heckled from the grandstand during the post parade) When the races were over he came to the tent and helped us load the trailer. Even though he makes me look like a 6 year old standing next to me, he's tops in my book. Glad to have him for a friend.
