Pay close attention to the Mares bred at the bottom of the article , what a down turn it's been, kind of like Illinois

From nearly 2700 mares bred, to less than 700. That's huge!

I quit breeding my IL breds before I had to go to fairs and race for IOU's from the state. (which now happens in IL) But the Dept of Ag won't take an IOU for your stake payments.
