Great card of racing tonight at the Hawk, here's what I like:
1- Secretsothernephew
2- Thinking out loud
3- Rebeka Bayama (box with Androvette)
4- Warrawee Limelight
5- Prestidigitator
6- Tarpon Hanover
7- L Dees Lioness
8- Apprentice Hanover
9- Silver Eagle
10- Betterthancheddar box with Golden Receiver
11- Ontheclock Hanover
12- Viper Select
13- Twin B Warrior
Good luck to all playing along tonight, should be a great card!

looks like a great card to watch and wager on
couple of early thoughts will post piks later
i am not sure i have seen a more impressive mile this year by an older pacer than cheddar went last week
i also like the fact that the metro maybe won by as many as 4-5 horses
good luck to all !

Was at my fantasy football draft last Saturday - caught the Pacing Derby Elim. Played Bettor Sweet mostly because of the change to David. Bettor Sweet was bottled up much of the stretch - not sure he was going by Cheddar but it would have been nice for me.
Had Bettor Sweet drawn a bit better I might be playing him again - probably still going to play him to get a piece. As I've always said I love the older Open Pacers.
Would love to see Foiled Again win and go over $4 Million. thumbsup

What time does the Metro go?

What time does the Metro go?
Race #8 - Program shows 9:30
-
Race 1 - Secretsothernephew has an unbelievable closing kick. Though staring from the outside there looks to be quite a bit of speed upfront with a few of the contenders being one way speed types. That could set it up for a closer and if the odds permit 2-1? he's a play. 8W4/9/6
Race 3 - the big f&m invitational. Dreamfair Eternal has some sneaky form improvement in her last three starts. All slow paced miles in which she gained ground in the last qtr. in every mile. She gets Sears tonight and with the rail can be close to pick them off at the end.
Often get more movement than usual in these big races and a quicker than normal pace for this class can see Dreanfair Eternal win. 1W2/7/8.
Race 4 - Pick Four (1/2/7-5/7/8-1/2/8-2/3/7/9)
Race 5 - the Simcoe trot has three main contenders. The only pure speed of the three is Little Brown Fox. Should have the lead easy and if he gets one easy middle panel he can win.
Hos other winning scenario is leaving quick and having KNows Nothing and Prstidigitator knock eachother out. Both Jamieson and Filion are capable of blowing their wad by the 3/4 pole. 7W5/8/4
Race 8 the Metro - A great great race with a number of horses more than capable.
I'm hoping the money comes in on Captaintreacherous. Nothing against him but I don't think he is going to blow thes foes out.
I was super impressed with Apprentice Hanover's last mile. Thehorse raced hard for 3/4 of the mile. Only Betterthancheddar did that last week. That can win races at Mohawk. The horse won as pleased too. I think the horse has even more in the tank. the question will be his price. Will the canucks pound the homeboy? I don't know. I'll bet him over Odds On Equuleus( who we all know will have a shot at one point or another with Campbell driving, not sure the horse can rough it for a 1/2 mile)Captaintreacherous and Vegas Vacation(if the pace gets out of control he can win it, not sure if he can leave but tonight in order to win he has to). 3W4/2/10
Pick Four (2/3/410-3/5/8-3/5-3/4/6)
Race 11- my best bet is Piece of the Rock. Horse has a class edge over this field and gets a big driver change to Brennan. His main competition comes from the three year old Speed Again who may not last with these older foes with an overagressive Jamieson. I see Brenna winning eith way, on or off pace. 4W6/3/1
Race 12 - KIndly Poet has had two qualifiers and can handle these easily if ready. Jamieson drives so you know the horse will be out and trying after the expected speedsters tire. 4W3/6/8

I know somebody will be rooting for Tetrick and that Alagna fella.

I really thing the Captain is the best in the Metro. But this is a really good field of 2 year olds. Heading to a wedding tonight, so I will be stuck watching on my phone ;)
Early Pick 4
1,2,3,7,10x 5,7,8 x 3,8,9,10 x 3 I Luv the Nite Life was so impressive last week in my eyes, she is a single.
Late Pick 4
2,3,4,7,10 x 1,2,4,5,6,8,10 x 5 x 4,7
Good Luck beating betterthancheddar right now. He is the best horse in training right now.
Good Luck to all tonight!

Thanks!

She looked like a dragster pulling away from them in the stretch. One tap on the wheel disk with the whip and adios. Made 1:48 and change look easy.
-
This 4th race I have to key the 3 1st/2nd at 9/2 ...... 3 w 1,2,6,7

Yes she did, makes watching the races worth it to see one like her.

Aye aye, Cap'n. 1:49.2! Ties North American record for 2yo's. Driven by 'family' and trained by family on wheels made by family. What a monster that colt is. Kudos to all the connections!

If Bettor Sweet holds on for 2nd behind Foiled Again I'd be flying the entire ITS gang to corporate headquarters in Vegas. 4pezz2

I text oatie and Mustbenuts to wish them congrats and admitted to them both, I thought he was done. I was shocked he exploded the way he did. Great race.
The Metro was a great race as well and guess who screwed up both of them? None other than Andy Miller! rflmao1 rflmao1
Seriously, what was he doing in both races???

Congrats to all the connections of Foiled Again, he's a superhorse! I didn't think Gingras could get through that cavalry charge but he found a way. Andy & Julie are good friends, but sometimes Andy thinks he's still in IL driving Erv's horses that are 10 lengths better than the rest. TT's drive on Captaintreacherous was perfect; he sat and watched the speed duel until it was time to win it. Also a great steer by JC to almost run him down.

I can't even defend Andy's drives last night, and I know he is one of the nicest people around but wow
did he make himself look bad there, I know Johnny B might put him back up but I'll be a little shocked
if he drives for Harder anytime soon.

But look at how much he adds to the betting options, just never know how the race will go with him in there winging!

I would expect Sears to be back on Golden Receiver again. Just let the 9 go and retake, not that hard. Nope, just give your horse zero chance and gut him to a 52 half shootme
