Rick Plano is the king of training lame horses. He can take a horse with a bow or suspensory and somehow get 45+ starts per year from the horse. He always said his secret was no secret: just race them where they belong. If they don't belong where you think they belong, keep dropping them till they do belong and leave them there!

A very good driver and also a very good friend. And dammit Rick, get me some of those hot Italian sausages you make out here to Las Vegas!
