Title: A lesson from Jamie Coffy
Post by: LVGaryD on August 15, 2012, 10:11:42 AM
Here is the way you race horses at the State Fair Of West Virginia:

Final Scorpion: Raced Monday, won in 2:04.4; Raced Tuesday. won in 2:02.3, Racing today and tomorrow too.

Fenice Hanover: Raced Monday, finished 2nd in 2:16.1, Raced Tuesday, won in 2:11.3; Racing today and tomorrow too

Bourbon Street Hanover: Raced Monday, second in 2:00.2; Raced Tuesday, finished second in 2:02.2; Racing today and tomorrow too

Bee Mischievous: Racing today and tomorrow.

She also took down a couple of other rats that will be raced similarly.

You simply have to let these rats know that they will perform properly or they will pay the price and get tightened up like they never knew was even possible.

W. Va not exactly the harness mecca of the world.

Kentucky's Thunder Ridge Raceway is close to the border of W. Va, however a long way from the W. Va. State Fair.

Jamie has a web page, however it hasn't been updated in a very long time. There may be something newer some place else.

I'm fairly certain that even Jamie does not know that page is still there.  rflmao1

If she does, I'm sure she forgot his password long ago ;)

Perhaps the fact that she went commando yesterday in soldiarity with her best bud had something to do with her success. lilcheerleader

 Amy,
Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black ;)

Mainstream America could give two hoots about horses and harness racing and here are the weirdest of mainstream-America calling others weird.

Wilderness, Amy Hollar is flat out dull, boring and as wholesome as apple pie compared to the two we are discussing. And I mean all of that in a good way.

Thanks Giss!  rflmao1 rflmao1

And he isn't lying!

My weirdness pales in comparison to those two!

But thanks wilderness.  ;)

Much like Rach-Bob, a young Gary D. went commando most of the time until the second time Luther D got stuck in the zipper. It was bad enough when the pubes got stuck there (which today is no longer an issue), but even a fairly average  circumcised penis and a zipper do not mix well together.

Three wins and one second for Final Scorpion.

$3250.  Might be the new way to race horses.

Nothing new about it. That is how we raced years ago, except it was two heats in a day, two or three times a week.

And the filly that was almost the first In The Sulky Stable's horse won the Governor's Cup today. Bee Mischievous won the three and four year-old Open F&M pace, this after finishing second yesterday.

So racing 4 days in a row for one heat is new, like I said.

She was upset she could not race him four days last year because he had too much money made for the first day. I certainly would not call this new by any means. You gotta race the piss out of these rats....make them pay for not being top-flight horses.

Actually I think this is much easier on them than when we raced heats, which I absolutely love.
