A loss, come November, if you ask me.
I had everything crossed, hoping he would somehow choose Rice which would have moved all those undecideds to Romney but now he hands Obama the election.
All those scare-tactic ads are going to be flying into everyone's home and although they're all dishonest, dumb Americans are going to buy right into it.
A very bad day for the USA. I am truly sorry for all of us. thumbsdown

I have to think this helps both Obama and Johnson. I think Johnson might not win the election, but he will beat Romney in votes. What a dumb, dumb choice. Rubio, Jindal, Portman, West, Rice....any of them could have all but sealed a change in power. Why pick a guy from Wisconsin? noway

I'm gonna zoom right past the Johnson remarks.
The reason I think Ryan is one of the weaker choices is because now Florida is back in play, whereas I thought Romney was a lock to win here. But this may scare off too many seniors. Romney cannot win without FL.

I have one word for you: Medicare.
Goodbye Florida. Goodbye Ohio.
Goodbye Mitt.
Mitt heads for Florida tomorrow. Why do you think he's sending his new best friend off in the other direction? Because they want to cover twice as much territory? No, I don't think so.

The Dems will use their time-tested scare techniques on current SS folks. They won't mention Obama's almost 100% hike in cost on medicare taking effect in 2014. We can only hope that the Republicans mention it.
Really, the level of stupidity among many voters is staggering. The sad fact is more people will vote for either of the candidates because they like the way they look, not based on any issue related position.
We will see what these seniors think when the death panels choose illegals over them to get medical aid.
It is indeed sad to see all the vacant stores and almost ghost malls that have come about in the last few years. And, their number sure looks to be growing around here.

Watch "Jay Walking" on Leno's show and it'll just plain scare you how many truly stupid people are loose in America. I'm suprised they can find their way home, and their vote counts as much as anyone else.
Jay sends a staffer out with a camera and microphone who stops people on the street and ask them pretty basic questions, and most of the idiots haven't a clue.

I guess Ryan is a bad choice because it gives the democrats the "opportunity" to tell the biggest and most effective lies about a VP candidate. Therefore, the republicans should have picked a candidate against whom smaller and less effective lies could be told?

Personally, I believe the left is capable of telling big and effective lies about any political opponent. And yes, some candidates are easier targets than others. But, fretting about who the left could do the best job of demonizing keeps us playing by their rules.

We'll see as it progresses, but I love Ryan as a candidate. He lives in a dem district in a dem state, and still got over 60% of the votes last election. The left will lie about whoever gets put up anyway.

Ryan is a much more attractive target than Portman or Pawlenty. He
