Here's a little insight to the card:

1. Last year, we saw the track bias go from favoring closers in the early races to speed favoring in the later races.

2. The afternoon card can lead to crazy results.  Chalk eaters (I mean chalk players) beware!  In 2010, 13 of 15 favorites lost...with 2 of them not hitting the board.  In 2011, 10 of 15 favs lost with 4 of them not hitting the board.

3. Keep an eye out for bridgejumpers!  Who can forget PUT ON A SHOW no hitting the board in 2010?

4. Twinspires is offer a bonus on all winning M1 pick4's on Saturday, making up the difference to ensure a 0% takeout!

Good luck!

Good luck guys, here's what I like:
1- Aunt Mel (box with Talbot Creek Jewely in the exactors)
2- Put on a Show. Jody upsets the big guns. Box the exactor with Drop the Ball.
3- Sandra Volo
4- Rockaround Sue. Play on top of 1,2,3,6,10 in tri.
5- Nikki Beach. Key on top of Jerseylicious if playing exactors.
6- Source of Pride. Box with Captain Treacherous.
7- Raring to Go S.
8- Corky. Very tough race.
9- Don't Know Chip.
10- Mister Herbie.
11- Check Me Out - key on top of 1,3,4,7 in the tri
12- Knows Nothing.
13- Hypnotic Bluechip. Tough race. Box 1,4,8,11 in the tri
14- Panther Hanover. Box with Hurrikane King Cole.

I have one horse I absolutely love tomorrow.  15th race ,  the 10 horse . I have seen all of his races from Chester. This horse is an absolute GORILLA!!!! Probably will go in 48 tomorrow. Look who he beat in that last race  Meirs, Rockincam and We Will See. Chester is so speed favoring, to close like he does, is  so impressive!!!  I am telling you guys , you had better hop on board

In an absolute atrocity, I work until noon pst today. If I'm lucky and noontime rush hour traffic is not too bad, I will get home to see the Hambo.

Yesterday pretty much a chalk fest.  I play two of GN horses but of course, not the one in the last race that triggers a avalanch of cash.   4pezz2My best hit was like a $48 exacta.  The rest super puny.  Did not play any multi bet wagers yesterday--today that will change!

Early pk 5
1-3-5/1-4-5/2-7/2-4-5replace 2 with 3-5 in the 4th.

Post by: burton on August 04, 2012, 05:41:36 AM
Race 1 - Riverfest if flat is the best here.

Race 2 - I'll play Drop The Ball. I like seeing Gingras back on the horse and think that'll make the difference. Hopefully she'll be the second choice. 4W1/5/6

Race 3 - two horse race with Valdonna being best if falt and Sandra Volo looking solid with a speed trip. Sandra Volo has been good gaited as well.

Race 4 -#4 Rockaround Sue the best but no value.

Race 5 - #10 Shebetingin is much the best but no value.

Race 6 - allsigns point to Captaintreacherous but I'm playing a longshot in #8 Hail The Taxi. Jim Campbell trainee has raced on the smaller ovals and has been improving tremendously in last two especially the last win from the 8hole at Yonkers. Qualified at the BigM earlier in the year so is no stranger to the track. 8W5/4/9
Pick 4 (5/8-4/8-1/2/7-1/2/6)

Race 7 - Another price shot in #8 Royal Assets. Gets the big Schnittker to Tetrick change for the big money. 8W4/1/2 in this impressive group of 2 yr. old trotter who all look like they have some solid gaits with few breakers.

Race 8 - 1/2/7 look at a big price on #7 My Man Can. If you get it play this green but improving Andy Miller colt.

Race 9- an open field. Look at 1/2/6. # 6 may be played at big odds as he gets Sears. He's had some bad posts against tough foes and he could surprise ata price.

Race 10- Chapter Seven and Daylon Magocian are the top two here. Once again I like seeingSears get on Daylon Magician. If he's better than 5-1 jump on it.

Race 11 - Check Me Out and Maven

Race 12 - a very competitive Hambeltonian. My solid play is #2 Market Share. Good form and I think he's anotch better than the others with Archangel and Guccio being a cut above the favored Uncle Peter who I think will falter late. 2W4/1/7
Pick 4(2/4/7-6/8/12-1/4/5/6-2-10)

Race 13 - too crazy. Foiled WWS and longshot Rockincam.

Race 14 - I'll take Time To Roll on consistency. Rollinlikeabigshot will be closer and has a wicked brush. Hurrican Kingcole is fast but never races well when money is on the line. Pnather Hanover looks stong too. I'd try to beat the low priced fave, Hurricane.

Race 15 - This last race actually has my best play of the day in #2 Alex Mattosie. When he's right he's a FFA horse. He looks to be getting back to that form with a sneaky sharp try in a needed start from the 10 hole in his last race. He now draws inside, he has speed and remember he responds to the whip well and always seems to race better in NJ where whipping is allowed vs. Toronto where it isn't. He'll beat the big fave in the impressive #10 Malak Uswaad who looks like a monster but at low odds with the 10 hole to boot. 2W10/1/8

Good luck to all!!!!!!!!

Race#1.

Wide Open event to kick off the card.

#1 On The Bright Side- Only times she has lost this year is to the 2 favorites in the Oaks.

#3- Whimzical- Has raced great since going to Raymer. Sears back Aboard and an upset chance

#8 Riverfest- The Month off scares me, has raced well at the Big M

Race#2

#1 Anndrovette- What a mile 2 weeks ago. Will be right there

#4 Drop The Ball- Raced her eye balls out against the 1 just couldn't get by

#5 Put On A Show- Made up a ton of ground in a 54.1 back half. So Glad she came back good this year

#6 Rocklamation- Went first over to the 1 and just missed as well. Should be a great race

Race#3

#6 D'Orsay- Huge Driver change as Marcus is finally off of her.

#7 Valdonna- She is probably the fastest horse in here if she stays flat

#9 Bluff- Added with the scratch of the 2. Taking a shot 2nd time Burke, First time yanni

Race#4-

#2 Sarandon Blue Chip- If she can find her form from 2 months ago, she would crush these. Just not the same right now

#4 Rockaround Sue- Just toyed with them last week. Has gotten really sharp at a good time

Race#5

#2 Nikki Beach- 3 for 3 and Sears hasn't asked her yet

#10 Shebestingin- Same as above for Miller. Should be a great showdown

.50 pick 5  1,3,8 x 1,4,5,6 x 6,7,9 x 2,4 x 2,10

Race#6

#5 Captaintreacherous- Comes home 26 every race. This Somebeachsomewhere Colt is going to be something special

Race#7

#4 To Dream On- She is just more advanced and better than these. Should romp again

Race#8

Throw a dart using 1,2,3,10

Race#9

Throw another dart using 1,2,8,9,10

$3 Pick 4   5 x 4 x 1,2,3,10 x 1,2,8,9,10

Race#10

#5 Mister Herbie, I think he is the best right now and just play him with Chapter 7 nd stand at the window to collect

Race#11

#3- Maven- Owns a win over Check Me Out this year and just missed beating her in the Eleganttimes- No they are not talking about her to draw interest, she is for real.

Race#12-

Most wide open hambo I have seen in many many years

Going to use a bunch to kick off the pick 4  1,2,3,4,6,7,9

Race#13-

Wide Open Pacing championship and I have to go deep here as well 1,4,8,12

Race#14

#1 Time To Roll- Has taken on the best in the country and has been right there

#5 Hurricane Kingcole- We all Know how fast he is, but any time he has had to face one of the better colts in the division he has come up short. We will see today

Race#15

#2 Alexie Mattosie- 2nd start off the layoff and should be better today. The class of the field

#10 Malak Uswaad- Wow so far, looking forward to see him today

$1 Pick 4  1,2,3,4,6,7,9 x 1,4,8,12 x 1,5 x 2,10

Good Luck to everyone playing today

WWS is the best horse in the USPC. He's very versatile. Pierce will have his nose on the gate; he'll find a good seat as Andy Miller and Brennan knock heads with Golden Receiver and Aracache. WWS.

Not really. It has been around for years, but was recently purchased by CBS. Started as  College Sports TV Network by a pair of wealthy Cleveland brothers, the Bedols. Alan just passed away last week.

The fourth race--NJSS 3-YO filly final--represents a good indicator of how small the Jersey SS circle has become. There are six Western Ideal fillies and two by his son Rocknroll. Later on in the Classic, there are five Rocknrolls and three Western Ideals.

You know it buddy! Beaten by a long nose for the win with Corky. Was hoping for more Miller magic. Don't know why Miller kept him gapped off as much as he did, but he paid 5.70 and 4.20 on the place/show tickets so I got a little money.

I don't bitch about a race often but that was a greasy move by Andy Miller there. Literally pulled and did not attempt to move forward at all... Blatantly waited outside of MacDonald waiting for Tetrick to pull... Prevented my horse from making any kind of a move. Just sat outside, waiting for a horse to carry him. MacDonald was flying at the end but was never a factor because of this move.   4pezz2 4pezz2 4pezz2

Have to like Herbie in here.  Jody could join Tetrick and Purple Jesus as only multiple winners on the card.  Of course Tetrick will be going for his 3rd win as will David Miller.

Amazing mile from Chapter Seven. I thought Jody was going by him as they were coming off the turn but Herbie flattened out pretty bad. Jody has 4 drives today and has a win and a second so far... Surprised the exactor paid 7.40, there were only two horses to play. Tetrick is having a large day, he's the new John Campbell.

I actually made 3 bets today. That in itself is hard to believe, I'm just not a gambler. I bet Captain Treacherous, My MVP, and Market Share, all because of family connections. I made fellow patrons of the establishment pissed off while sceaming for Market Share during his stretch drive while they were watching water polo at The Olympics. (Oh, like he was so exciting to watch people swim with a deflated ball?)

I'll bet my $2 & $5 bets really swung the meter on the pools. rflmao1 rflmao1

The total North American handle for the Hambletonian Day card at the Meadowlands was up nine percent in 2012.  Total common pool wagering for the August 4 card was $6,227,077, up from $5,602,567 in 2011.

(Full international pool totals will be available early next week for the Hambletonian card).

Despite the extreme heat and humidity, a crowd of 24,521 turned out to watch Market Share win the $1.5 million Hambletonian.

Disagree, Grape. Maven was running before Tetrick moved outside. Yannick made a green driver mistake and yanked his horse thinking there would be interference. The rules state that is not a reason for DQ. Tetrick actually looked to see there was clearance.

I agree with you, Gisser. Yannick was 3 or 4 lengths behind Tim, and Tim took a good look before he pulled out. The rule is you have to move to the outside (where clearance allows) and lose ground, resume the proper gait to advance. All those rules were met. Kinda like baseball umpires, though: Can't change the call.

That mile but Put On A Show was amazing! World recod and perfect drive by JJ. That entire field was awsome. Combined 283 lifetime starts, and over $12mil in earnings.

When JJ got her stopped for the pics and jumped off the bike I knew as a driver what was coming. Through all the festivities, she was firing kicks behind her. Jody kept telling people not to go behind the bike. Everytime he would move she'd fire one into the wheel disc on his side. I wish I had a nasty kicking bitch just like her!  rflmao1

Left for the ball park right after the Oaks.  All on all didn't do too bad .  Won races 13-14-15.  That saved me from losing my arse.  Then did pretty well at balmoral.  So, I played  28 races for the day and ended up losing like $25.  Had I not played the pk 5 and pk 4s at the big M I would have made a tidy profit. That's why I don't normally play those.
Some real stinkers thrown in by Yannick.  A few of those drives left you shaking your head.
