Sam DePinto, trainer/owner of We Will See, predicts that the Western Hanover stallion will pace in :46 and change this year. He said,

Wer Will See may have a shot at the top title this year, as Foiled Again has shown signs of being a tad behind last year. I'm not certain We Will See will crush the field his first start tomorrow, but he is obviously the best horse in there if he is ready.

If WWS and Foiled both stopped after last year's BC, I would have given the nod to WWS for divisional honors. However, when Foiled went on and won the Indiana Pacing Derby and the American National, even though he didn't really beat much, he sealed the deal for himself.
As a four-year-old WWS had more to overcome in terms of name recognition. He just couldn't get past the veteran nod that went to Foiled.
Yeah, unless one of the four-year-olds, like Cheddar, Alsace, Hugadragon or Westwardho step up and dazzle folks, WWS is the prohibitive favorite to win that division. I can't see Golden Receiver or Atochia becoming consistently successful FFA horses. WWS is very versatile. Leave or take back and go overland; it doesn't seem to matter to him. And he's generally a powerhouse the last sixteenth.
Tomorrow night's race is a good one for watching.

I Wouldn't count out Golden Receiver staying a legit FFA this year. He has really come into his own this year.
The only way We Will See doesn't win tomorrow night is if they don't care....

I have to say that Yannick rated Meirs Hanover about as good as I've ever seen a horse rated. He got beat by a better horse in River Shark, but he beat the best horse in the race.

Should of kicked away with those fractions IMO

I don't know who ever said Meirs was a top free for all horse. Hell the horse is lucky to even be alive, let alone a top FFA horse.
And I said he got beat by a better horse (River Shark), and beat the best horse in the race (We Will See). Meirs is not a horse that will come home in 26 seconds.
