Apparently there was rampant alcohol abuse at Delaware, Ohio last night following the Blooded Horse Sale.
The staff and management of In The Sulky does not condone such foolishness in any way, shape or form. Sadly, some of our members were allegedly involved in said alcohol abuse.

Sets of harness stolen from Delaware County Fairgrounds
Tuesday, May 15, 2012 - from the USTA Communications Department
Columbus, OH --- About 20 sets of harness were stolen Monday night (May 14) from the Delaware (Ohio) County Fairgrounds.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the trackman at the Fairgrounds by calling 740.272.7827.
>:( >:( >:( >:( They should be shot on sight..........please keep eyes and ears open. Mudder and Jen need our help

The drunks are easier handled than the thieves. >:(

They stole my Mutter's stuff? That's very bad news for them if we hear who did the dirty deed! How will they be able to hold the lines when they have smashed hands? ??? ???
-
With all the connections now with facebook and here I can't imagine how they will get rid of this harness very quickly. The sale company has video camera on the only exit during the sale. the place was almost deserted when I left at 9:30 pm could not have been many vehicles leaving in the night so they should not be hard to track down. I hope I get the chance to hang the bastards on the town square. I have friends in Texas and Missouri as well as Ky.,and Indiana looking. 4pezz2

I just spent 4 hrs tonite putting harness together to train tomorrow and race one at Hoosier tomorrow. I have remained fairly cool but now I am so pissed I could hang the stealing bastards myself . I just remembered 3 Austies or Canadians( whatever, had that accent thing, eh?) walking by yesterday and made a small talk about one of my colts being a dick in the stall. never seen these guys before. maybe we are looking in the wrong direction and these harnesses & equipment went north over the border instead of remaining in the states? No more people than they had at this sale when I left at 9:30 pm the place was almost deserted. They have video tape recorded on the only gate that is open during the sale until the last horse leaves the grounds so if they can't find these bastards they are idiots.

Easy on the Canada bashing! Hopefully everything is recovered and returned quickly to the rightful owners.
-
Sorry Dave I'm not bashing Canadians. I was grasping at straws as I put harness together. It was probably someone we would be shocked to even guess. I just think it was someone who walked around the barns and checked things out because the thieves were pretty selective on the quickest, back side of the barns out of sight what was
stolen.
